Police investigate tattoo shop burglary

Brookings police say they are investigating the burglary and vandalism of the Body Illustrations tattoo shop on Main Avenue South.
Sgt. Joey Collins said a passerby saw an open back door at the business and reported it to authorities at about 8 a.m. Tuesday.
Someone gained access to the shop by kicking open the back door. Once insidethe burglar took a safe with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Collins added that someone also caused an extensive amount of damage inside the store.
The burglary happened either late Monday night or early Tuesday morning.
Police have not made any arrests in the case,an investigation is ongoing.
