Monday News And Links

Let's start with the topic found on the minds of most Huskies fans, THE COACHING SEARCH:
Here is my story in today's Seattle P-I that offers some details about Cincinnati coach Brian Kelly and boxing glove tattoos his plans this week, which do not include a trip to Seattle.
The Cincinnati Enquirer offers its view from the Queen City. (However, this story states Kelly is set to formally interview with the Huskies this week, which, is not thought to be true.)
The Fresno Bee's Bryant-Jon Anteola offers us this story on Bulldogs coach Pat Hill, who admitted in a 54-second interview Sunday he did interview with the Huskies Saturday.
Hill wasn't pleased to have to talk about the interview. I imagine that would be uncomfortable given his tenuous relationship with the fan base in Fresno this season and his October denial he was even interested in the UW post.
If you've been keeping up with my blog, most of that seems like 'old news.'
Some of the new news that is indirectly linked to the UW coaching search is that coaches were found at Clemson (interim head coach Dabo Swinney), Syracuse is still looking and ornament tattoo Mississippi State gets into the game, as well.
And, if Notre Dame gets into this mix, it'll be like recalibrating the slot machine and american indian tattoos start the pulling all over again. (Unless this guy decides he finally wants to go to Notre Dame.)
Also, my good friend 'Jimmy Dougan' asked, so he shall receive: 'What's the buyout? Source calls Weis' figure 'stupefying' So, that's reports of $4-5 million, $10 millionSI's Peter King's report of $21 million. Go figure.
Finally, there is one matter about which many UW fans have forgotten (or at least, are denying!) The 0-11 Huskies play their season finale Saturday at Cal, a team that very well may be staying home for the bowl season -- by playing in the Emerald Bowl.
