Lynda Morley Opens Local Micro Pigmentation Practice

Life-long Sonoma Valley resident Lynda Morley recently opened a local practice named Permanent Cosmetic and Reconstruction (P.C.-R.). As a certified Micro Pigmentation Specialist, she offers professional services that include permanent makeup (eyeliner, eyebrows and lips), permanent skin restoration by creating realistic skin tones for people recovering from burns, grafts, breast surgery and other surgery where additional permanent cosmetic work would create realistic skin tones. While she is an expert in the creation and application of permanent makeup, her practice is also developing a specialty in removing unwanted markings such as birthmarks and tattoos. Noting that many women who got tattoos in their early youth are now wishing they hadn't, she has found a growing interest in her technique, which is a viable alternative to laser removal. It involves using the same techniques and instruments used for permanent makeup, but the chemicals used actually remove the tattoo pigments from the skin. It is a longer, slower process than laser removal, but the advantage is that the tattoo can be removed with no scar left in its place.

Morley says that depending on the size of the tattoo and the pigments used, the removal can be completed in two to six treatments (usually one a month), with costs for removal ranging from 200 to 1,000, depending on how many treatments it takes. A great deal of my client base is derived through referrals from surgeons, general practitioners, dermatologists, allergists and even tattoo parlors. To a person, they are always amazed at the level of quality that micro-pigmentation has risen to, Morley stated. She also donates to the community by offering free tattoo removal through the local police department for those with gang tattoos. Morley was raised in Sonoma Valley and attended local schools, and schmetterling tattoo Santa Rosa Junior College and hannya tattoo Sonoma State University. While raising two children is was involved in many community activities, toe ring tattoos including serving as president of local Pop Warner Football, a PTA president, coaching t-ball, softball, soccercheerleading and doing wrestling stats. She was voted Sonoma Valley Volunteer of the Year for those efforts.

For a period of time she was also an Aerobic/Kinesiology instructor at a local gym and the Sonoma Mission Inn.Her office hours are by appointment, she may be reached via phone at (707) 738-2054.
